SIM card not supported for iPhone4 Christmas present

Desperately trying to activate phone for Christmas present. Have Mac computer. iTunes says SIM card not supported. We activated on line for new phone number.

Sounds like a non-Koodo phone and the phone needs to be unlocked

Thanks for the quick reply. So... how does one unlock an iPhone? We previously had a pay as you go with Virgin for this phone.

If you still have your virgin account you have to unlock with them. It's the cheapest way. Otherwise you need to find a 3rd party online Unlocker which will cost $100+ (iPhones are notoriously expensive to unlock when not done through the original carrier)

I think your iPhone 4 is tied with your carrier lock . To unlock it , use Remote unlocking method . You can get it from any of the online vendors like http://www.unlock-zone.com/apple-ipho... to unlock it .
