My SIM card is not working after LG G4 in water for a few seconds. I immediately got it out of the water, and placed the phone into rice. Now the phone is fine, except for the SIM card. It's either giving me a no SIM card message or no service.

Mary,
The SIM card is quite resilient to water. I think the problem was due to bad contacts inside the phone. I would try to test the SIM in another phone and see if the SIM works there first. If it doesn't work, then it is time to change SIM.

Thanks. I actually bought a new SIM card today, and that one doesn't work either.

Have you activated the new SIM?

Yes, it's activated. I think. I bought it at a Koodo location.

By activation, I meant they transferred your old number into the new SIM?. Did you see the agent at store did it? normally they would need your number, your ID or PIN number to do it.

Once your new SIM was activated, the old SIM is disabled.

I think they did. She had my number and my ID. I think I'm going to call Koodo and check.

If the sim card is not the issue, it might be your phone that could be the issue
