SIM card invalid number?

I lost my phone but have an older Koodo Sim Card (regular bigger size). When I tried to change the sim card by using "same phone, new SIM), it just says invalid SIM#. Anyone knows why?

Hey Jeff,
Has the SIM Card been activated before (used on an old phone) if so and it was 90 days ago or longer than the SIM Card has been deactivated permanently and is basically garbage, you will need to purchase a new SIM Card. Also if the SIM Card was activated on a different account then you can't activate it on any other account but the one it was originally activated with and again it has to have been active no longer than 90 days ago.
