My new Samsung Neo isn't working properly and Samsung is suggesting it is the SIM card. I took the SIM out and tried it in a different phone and same problems happen. I have a SIM card that will fit from a phone I just removed from plan can I use that one? Do I need to register it or anything to make my number work? I do not live near a Koodo shop or kiosk to just go get one.

Was that spare sim card registered to the same phone number as the defective sim card?
If no, then the spare sim card will not work

And has the spare sim been deactivated for more than 90 days?
If yes then the spare sim card will not work

That sim card will only work for the other number on your plan then. You will have to get a new sim card by the sounds of it.
