I have an Iphone 4 now, which I'm ok with, but was wondering if the new features are worth the upgrade.

I guess what I'm saying is if you don't know what it offers, then you don't want it.

It depends on your requirements. Personally I feel the speed increase in itself warrants the upgrade, but the question is, are you happy with your current phone and does its functionality meet your needs?

If you are set on upgrading your iphone, then I believe that the 5s is one of the more future proof iphones you could get. The use of 64 bit will only increase with time, whereas 32 bit iphones will not become obsolete fasters as app developers start to design 64bit apps

I wouldn't bother. Apparently the preorders are so underwhelming that Apple doesn't want to release the numbers. I think they will potentially drop the prices in a couple of months. Don't even bother with the 5c.

Thanks, and I agree about the 5c.

Apple dropping prices for new iPhones? You must be kidding

Also, there's no preorder for the iPhone 5S only the 5C. And the only country where the preorders for the 5S are available, everything sold out within minutes.

There is no preorders for the iPhone 5s because apple didn't allow orders for that. Why do you think that is? Maybe deep down inside they had their own worries. The price difference between the C and S is relatively minor considering the difference in quality. Once they see how slowly the C is moving what choices will they have other than dropping the price?

The new features, IMO, are worth the upgrade. But be assured that the chances of you getting the new iPhone Friday are pretty small since everyone will want one. Just wait since this iPhone won't disappear soon. You won't die waiting 1 more month and see the reviews come in don't you?

I would not spend that kind of money on a plastic toy phone. :-) even if it's from Apple. And it looks like neither would others: http://mybroadband.co.za/news/smartph...

Is there something the new phone will do that your current phone does not? If so, then you should buy it, if not, wait.

Unless you have to have the newest toy on the block, a smart phone is still a smart phone.
