The older phones (CDMA), the ones that do not have a SIM card will work in Longlac, but the phones that have SIM cards will not.

According to Koodo's coverage map, it appears that 4G/LTE coverage is minimal for Longlac. When I look at a cell tower map, all I see is one TBayTel tower located near Picnic Point Road. type in location and set tower search to 'ALL'

Looking at TBayTel's coverage map, Longlac appears to have adequate 4G HSPA coverage. A SIM enabled phone should work in this region on their network. TBayTel is 'powered' by Rogers. I'm not certain if TELUS has a tower sharing agreement with them.
