Service Area /Phone Plan Needed?

My daughter just arrived at Camp Queen Elizabeth in Honey Harbour ontario - her phone says No Service. We changed to Koodo last year for this very reason and she had service all summer last year. Could you tell me what the issue could be?

Hi Sheri,

According to the coverage map, there should be no issues whatsoever with the reception. Have your daughter turn the phone off, remove the SIM card and battery (if possible). Let it sit for a few minutes and re-assemble the phone. Turn it back on and see if it helps.

First ensure that:

- 3G is enabled on the phone, which should be under cellular settings. I'm not sure what phone your daughter has, so if you can tell us that would be helpful.
- airplane mode is turned off
- bill is up to date
- phone isn't suspended and/or reported lost/stolen.

If none of those work,

Take out the battery and SIM (if possible) for about a minute and then reboot it. If the battery is sealed and she doesn't have a paperclip or other tiny pin needed for a SIM tray, just toggle Airplane mode on for about a minute, turn it off, and reboot the phone.
