I'm using a new Lg G4 and want to send mass texts to my group of 600 but no app seems to work for me. Is there a limit with Koodo, sending to multiple recipients or is there a better app for this. Thanks.

An Internet search using the term 'Mass Texting Service' will return a number of options, and is a far better method than trying to manage it from your phone.  It will also properly manage opt-ins and subscriptions. You dan't want to become known as a spammer, and the use of appropriate technology protects you & Koodo.

Thanks for the reply. I belong to a group that updates each other but not on sms currently. So this is the reason why i am asking. I've done a search and came across a program called mighty text but it doesn't access my group list unfortunately.

Can you more clearly describe what the goal of your information sharing is?  A 600 member group for interactive texting is immense, and the sheer size of it may be part of the difficulty you are having.

If the community has some idea of your ultimate goal, we can possibly make suggestions for suitable options.

I drive mennonites and they all have cell phones now a days. So i want to be able to text them when i am empty of passengers or to tell them there is a spot open in a van and also if they are wanting to drop off an item along our travel route. They are fine with being texted as this is a bonus for them to know if they could save money on having to rent a big van for just a couple of people etc...

Thanks!

There is definitely a limit to how many messages you are allowed to send per hour. I believe it's in the 200-300 range, but it's definitely less than 600. If you exceed this limit your text messaging privileges will be suspended for several hours.

Seriously?  I'd suggest setting up a Facebook Page with linked Twitter account, or just a Twitter account, and ask the participants to follow you.
