I received my phone on August 24th. I was billed about a week or two after with a full months charge of my plan including the partial charges of the three days I have used my phone. I called koodo support and they told me the full charge was to cover September and the other being the three days. Okay fair enough.

Fast forward to almost a month later and I receive my second bill. It says the dates of the billing period is august 28th - September 27th with a full months charge.

What I don't understand is I thought I already technically paid for this with my first bill. But it feels like either I've been charged for the whole month of august and the three days I had my phone activated for or that I'm being charged a second time. I'll soon be receiving another bill probably in a few weeks for the next billing period which I'd assume would be this months. Three bills and only two months of owning the phone?

Can anyone help me?? Does your first bill pay for your next month's? Thanks and sorry if any of this is confusing! Not sure how to explain my situation thoroughly

It is possible that your first payment has not been reflected on your second bill. Can you see if there is a line on your bill that says "Payment received"? It's possible that your payment didn't arrive in-time to be reflected in your second bill.

If the first payment has been recorded on your second bill and your second bill's balance is not your normal monthly plan charge, then there may be a billing error. You will need to contact customer service and have the billing issue resolved.

What does the billing dates say on your first bill.

I dont have anything saying payment received, however the payment on my first bill must've arrived on time as I don't have a past due balance. (If paid through your bank I believe it'll show to Koodo as paid but the actual funds would be pending?)

The first bill I received was for $64 and something cents. My monthly plan is $50 so with taxes roughly $56 and the rest being my three days of first owning the phone.

My new bill I have right now is for $56 so this makes sense as its a normal charge but I was told that my $64 I paid before, $56 was for covering September and the last few days of August of when I initially got my phone but now have a unpaid bill for September

And the billing dates on your first bill say what?

The billing dates of my first bill were august 24th (when my phone was activated in store) to august 27th which was apparently the end of a billing period. So I was charged only for those three days as a percentage of a whole month but was also given a full months charge on top of that. That full months charge was supposedly for covering the bill I now have. The new bill is August 28th - September 27th

And what do the billing dates below Aug 24-27 say? Because your first bill WILL have your one month in advanced.

My first bill shows $6 for my three days of use ( aug 24th - aug 27th) and an additional $50 (Aug 28th - sept 27th) for a total of $64. I've already paid that bill so would that mean I am indeed being charged a second time for the month my first bill should have covered?

So your second bill will show Sept. 28 - Oct. 27.

That's the thing though. My second bill shows as august 28th - September 27th with a current owing balance of my $50 plan, which was supposedly paid for with my first bill :|

This is what it will say. I really have no idea where you are seeing Aug 28 - Sept 27

Did you receive a paper bill or an e-bill?
Koodo will send you a bill 3 to 5 days after the end of the billing cycle.(in your case, it would be between 1st to 3rd of the month. And the due date would be around 22nd.
Chances are Koodo might have received your payment after they send you a bill. (Bank payments usually take 3 to 5 days to process.)
You can log into your self serve and check your balance and if you still have questions/doubts you can call Koodo *611 from your phone.

Edit: I was watching TV so I submitted after all the conversations above...

I receive the E-bills. It could be because I paid my first bill on the 22nd of September which was done through my bank. I was told that the actual money won't be with Koodo until a few days, as you said but that the payment will be shown as received as to avoid any late fees, etc.

When I made the payment for the $64 my only current owing charges were for what I went to the bank to pay, and a week or so after I got the bill I have now (Aug 28 - sept 27). It says on my new bill that my previous amount owing is -$64 (credit) so I assume that means it was paid and money received?

Yes they did. You have a credit now :)
Do you have a self serve account? It is good way to manage your balance, usage and you can do so much with it.

I do have a self serve account :) its there that I saw for my previous bill says -$64. So does this mean I need to pay the September bill or is it paid already from my first bill and just wait until the 22nd due date is up? Because if they've already received my payment I should be good then right? Nothing to pay until my October bill?

Your 2nd bill will tell you the amount that you need to pay by the due date.

I feel really stupid! All this time I thought the monthly bill saying aug 28- sept 27 was what I was paying for while having already paid previously but as myke said he didn't know why I wasn't seeing sept 28 - oct 27 and its because I was only looking at the first page of my E-bill haha sorry! Thank you everyone!! I now am no longer confused about my E-bill and better get my butt to paying my Oct bill haha :D thanks!! <3
