It's the dumbest design for taking screenshots, but it does work it just takes a little practice, I have the same device.

That's the same method as the iPhone, works flawlessly for me, power and home button same time. Maybe in the beginning it takes time to get used to it but once you get the hang of it you will find it to be simple. Thanks Timo

The iPhone doesn't use a capacitive touch sensitive Home button. No comparison to the S2x.
Doesn't work at all for me. I have been trying this for 3 days now. It is by far the dumbest way to do this operation.

The trick is to press and hold both the Power and Home buttons at the exact same time, continue to hold the buttons in until you hear the camera shutter sound and you'll have your screenshot. It's not instantaneous, it normally takes about one second to complete the screenshot.

To practice, try taking screenshots of your lock screen.

If you're in an area other than the lock screen and the Home button disappears, (Home button light turns off), tap in the uppermost part of the screen (notification area) to light up the Home button.

If you miss the shot, simply press and hold the Home button and search for the image you were trying to take. Tap on the image and re-take the screenshot.

The screenshots are saved in Gallery under Screenshots, you can delete any of your practice screenshots here as well.

It's been that way since ICS - no difference, just hold for a second or two.

On one of the custom ROM's I experimented with, (CM 10.1) the Power Off menu included an option to take a screenshot, eliminating the existing method of a combination of buttons pressed.
