I just got the Samsung Ace ll x today and I am having trouble transferring my data over from my HTC. All of my books and music were stored on a SD card but don't show up on the Samsung. I use the moon reader app for my books and i tried importing but they don't show up. However, when i plug the phone into my computer and check the card they are there. I really don't want to format the card and lose everything.

transfer the files to your PC then format the SD Card and then transfer them back. Or send them to a cloud service from the HTC & then load them onto the Samsung from the cloud. Some phones won't read the files properly when put on the SD Card from another phone.

I think it should read fine. You can try a simple test, save something from the galaxy 2x on sd card and see if it write and read it back. Hopefully you will be able to read sd card without reformatting.

Some apps are also not cross-compatible from older Android versions to new. Login to your Google Play account on a computer, register your new device, and see if Google flags any incompatibility issues. I had to give up a few older apps when I switched my phone.

Also, check that your new Moon Reader app is pointing to the correct folder on the SD card... maybe try moving them to a new folder and see if the app picks them up from there? The new app may have just tried importing from the phone memory.. Unless you specifically instructed it to include SD Card?
