Mobile syrup is now saying Telus is suppose to get SIIX update from February, now to April. How come Bells Galaxy SII HD LTE, which is awfully similar to SIIX just got updated? It really sucks Koodo is selling a severely outdated phone, using software and hardware from 2011.

Wheres the love Koodo? Push the manufacturer to update your phones or most people will not recommend this phone, a koodo place nearby is selling SIIX like pancakes, too bad that it has a bad label on it "an outdated phone from 2011".

Please make it upgradable to Jelly Bean, even just the stock version of it without SWYPE.

It's Samsung who controls the updates and I'm sure Koodo tries its hardest to get the updates ASAP

Yup and even then once Samsung releases it to Koodo it still has to be tested. As of a few days ago T-Mobile users have not seen it yet either so it's not a matter of it's out for the S II X or anything.

Would you rather get the update and a bunch of things screw up which is what's going on with Rogers Galaxy S2 LTE at the moment? Things come up & they have to fix them, you deal with it with every OS & every manufacturer at some point. It's not some magical update that's going to make your devices hardware change so it's going to run pretty much the same if not worse because with the added features like Google Now & smart stay running in the background are going to put a strain on the phones hardware, mainly because it only has 1gb of RAM. If you want it so bad and want it to run top notch then you should upgrade. You said it yourself that it's a 2 year old device, it's time to upgrade to a device from this year. If you keep buying out of date devices you'll always deal with what your dealing with now.

Well i know that but i really hate how they used graphics for siix that looks like a gingerbread, even though its using ics. I am really looking forward for project butter, ability to resize the apps in homescreen and widgets, and an updated look. Mind you i only have the phone for a week and im tired of looking at it already.

A lot of the issues you have can be resolved by using an alternative launcher like ADW Launcher, Nova Launcher Prime, etc. I'm using ADW Launcher and it can allow for resizing of homescreen widgets, and even extending the action bar at the bottom to 7 buttons instead of the default 5

Samsung just stated that they are already pushing out a fix for the Rogers Galaxy S2 LTE, so they might be pushing the Koodo/Telus update for the Galaxy S2x fairly soon, if they actually got everything fixed now.

When the update comes out, I will wait a while before I think of downloading it. Updates, not infrequently, seem to have glitches that pop up no matter how much testing is done.

It's a good way to do things, even with game updates. I like to read the reviews in the play store for the game before updating it & you'll see if there is any issues with the update, it has saved me some grief in the past.
