You'll have to bring it to a koodo kiosk & they will give you an estimate but I know your looking at around $250 just for the replacement display if the display is damaged then there's the Labour cost on top of that. If the glass is smashed but the display isn't damaged and still works then it your looking at quite a bit less.

And Koodo doesn't repair it. The manufacturer does.

If you or someone you know has any technical know how or skills consider using eBay to find a screen replacement. They ship direct from China at usually cheap rates and you can find screens that come with the necessary tools to fix it. I found tons of ameteur and professional tutorials on YouTube to guide me through.

I fixed a galaxy ace for $11 shipping and handling included from China! Worth a look!

Keep in mind though when fixing a high end device with gorilla glass you want to get genuine parts which cost alot higher price or your not getting gorilla glass just a cheap piece of glass that can be dangerous if it breaks as its not a tempered glass. That's why I stated above your looking at around $250 just for the parts even if you want to do it yourself.

I'm doubtful the parts are worth $250. Maybe with an LCD screen? Most times the screen still works so the LCD isn't damaged just the outer protective glass which is also the digitizer/touch screen input. I seriously doubt any safety issues, but you could be correct that it isn't technically gorilla glass.

Just putting the information out there as for my phone it was $150 for the repair and my phone cost $150 to buy!? So I just bought a new one and fixed the old one for $11. If you're right and it is $250 just for parts, total cost for repair will probably be $400-500! I'd take my chance with the cheaper glass. Just pay someone to install it who knows what they are doing.

Ya the $250 is with the new oled panel as well as the glass as specified above. If it's use the glass only it's probably around $50-$100. For a high end phone like the Galaxy S4 I wouldn't recommend getting non OEM parts because the glass is much easier to break or scratch & then your looking at getting the entire process done again.

After you get it fixed get a good quality case like the Otterbox Defender and then you can basically toss it against a wall and it won't damage it. I've smashed the display on one of my phones before because it didn't have a case & now it's the first thing I buy while buying a new phone & will never of put a case on my devices, is really worth the extra $50 for piece of mind that if you drop your phone 99% of the time it's going to e fine.

Kim, I'm a little late to the party but unfortunately, I'm was in the same boat. Broke my S4 screen a few weeks ago. OEM replacement, was quoted as low as $240 to a high of $310, all +tax. No point in replacing just the glass screen as it's also pricey at $160. Do it right and get the glass, digitizer and lcd screen as one unit. Anything on ebay that's cheap is not the real deal, you get what you pay for, been there, done that.
