Why is my Samsung Galaxy S3 using so much data compared to my iPhone 4? I mean it might not seem like much to some people but it seems that everytime look at my notification bar at my Watch Dog 3G my data has gone up 5-6 KB every few minutes. (mind you I havent used any apps or anything) This never happened on my iPhone. I'm a litter worried that there might be something in the background going through my data?

any ideas?

Thanks!

If you head into setting --> Data usage it'll show you what apps specifically have been using your data. To save data try and reduce the amount of apps you have syncing under Settings --> Accounts and sync and uncheck the ones you don't need. Also connect to wifi whenever it's available. Hope that helps!

You can also close those apps running on the background by holding the Home key and the the apps running will appear there, then you just swipe them to the right and they will be closed...

Also you can use the task manager to kill those apps...

Remember to check also the Self Service account to monitor your data usage...

also its because Android had widgets that you can put on your home screens that will update as often as you set them up for. The main one will be the weather widget which everyone usually has on their screen. Go into the apps of any widgets you have on your screens and change how often they sync data.
