Samsung Galaxy Note 2

Is it possible to order a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 from Koodo Mobile? I would really love this power house phone with the best network in Canada (in my opinion and many others). I currently have the LG Optimus one and that phone is way too small :P.

If not, is there a place or website were I can just buy the phone and unlock it to koodo?

Hey Gurj, we do not sell the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 so you won't be able to order it from us. You can bring over an unlocked Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and use it on our network though.

If its the factory Unlocked model it will work for sure as Ive used one for over a year on Koodo. Your doing something wrong when setting it up, make sure it's not set to gsm only and make sure to put in Koodo's APN settings in the settings section of the phone. Also delete any other APN settings other than Koodo's. Make sure that you have it set to Internet + mms under APN type as well.

I have taken it to koodo. Delt with techs on the phone and even taken it to an independent phone repair place. Everything has been gone over and I get the same answer. I have even tried other koodo sim cards still nothing.. The phone is factory unlocked and yes all the settings are correct.

Koodo has the same exact network requirements for 3G as Telus, Bell, Virgin, Rogers, Fido, PC Mobile, Speakout, Chatr, and Petro-Canada Mobile. If it works on any of those it should work for Koodo.

I forgot to mention that my koodo sim works long enough to makr a call or load a web page and then nothing. Once in a while ill get a signal back for a couple seconds but 98% of the time there is nothing.

I bought my Galaxy Note 2 from expansys.ca that was the unlocked HSPA+ Model and just popped in my koodo micro SIM Card and away you go.
I have the Galaxy S4 from Koodo now and find it a much better phone and you still get a large display at 5",which fits more comfortably in most ppls hands. I'd check out the Galaxy S4 from Koodo especially if you don't plan to really use the S-Pen on the Note 2

No promises here, but since Telus owns Koodo their phones usually work without having to be unlocked. Since you are buying one anyway keep an eye out for the Telus one.

Hey Jorden, only the Iphone4, 4s & 5 from Telus should work without being unlocked. For all other phones, we do require them to be unlocked for them to work on our network. There may be flukes where unlocking isn't needed, but unlocking is required.

Fair enough. I just know (from experience) more often than not it works (3/4 phones I've tried have been fine). Good to have the clarification however :).

That's what I'm here for :). If it does work without it being unlocked then that's great, I just know based on what I've been told from our head technician that the phone should be unlocked.

Fair enough, it's always better that way for sure. :)
