It might be time for an upgrade. I still have my Galaxy Ace (I also have the Ace 2x) but they too lagged and had problems maintaining connectivity with Wi-Fi. Motorola's Moto G might be worth looking into. It's reasonably priced, lag is virtually non-existent and battery life is pretty good, lasting a little over a day with light to moderate use, (individual results will vary).

Overall, probably one of the best entry-level quad-core phones for the money if you're not looking for all the bells and whistles and don't mind the fact that the Moto G isn't an LTE device and doesn't have a removable battery or an expandable memory card slot. Build quality is good and this phone is loud!

If you're not in the market for a new device just yet, try pulling the battery on the Ace. Also try a factory reset. Another option is to root the Ace and clear out all of the manufacturer's bloatware or install a custom ROM. But to be honest and speaking from personal experience, I think you'd be a lot happier with the Moto G.

True to some extent, keep in mind that the Ace was an entry-level Android device. The Ace can't be compared to the likes of flagship Android phones like the Galaxy S4 or the Nexus 5. Even the S3 and S2x would run circles around the Ace. With Android, you get what you pay for. The iPhone is a good choice as well.

the only reason i bought it was because my blackberry died and i needed a phone that day as i rely on my phone for clients, i grabbed the ace and it did the job , now it just sucks ive tried hard reset and everything

Unfortunately the Galaxy Ace is a crap phone. I had one for a year and was hating it by month 6. I upgraded to the S2X, which at the time, was really comparable to the S3 (similar stats for less money).

If you really want the iPhone, go for it. They are solid phones, I just don't like Apple products personally, I'd rather stay in the warm loving glow of Android ^_^

Thanks rikkster. I'm looking more towards a new phone (Moto G, mainly for its affordability) as I don't have the patience for dealing with these problems. Sometimes my phone lags and sometimes it freezes and then reboots.
