Just keep in mind that chances are pretty good it will never be updated to Jelly Bean. If you want Android Jelly Bean with Google Now & project Butter & expandable notifications & more you need to get the Galaxy S2x or Galaxy S3 from Koodo.
If you don't care about the updates then indeed the Galaxy Ace 2X is a really nice phone at a really great price.
just thought I'd bring this up so ppl arnt disappointed in the future if they were expecting more.

I gave this phone as gift on Christmas holidays and personally I like this phone at this price. This price range this phone is the best phone on koodo site.

While the overall design (it's basically a smaller S III!) and hardware specs are definitely agreeable for the price, hardware is only good on paper. How it actually performs is another story.

The Ace II X interface is choppy and laggy. Yeah, it's only a 1GHz single-core with 512 MB of RAM, but my Galaxy Captivate is the same thing... a nearly 3 year old phone running Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread. It still manages to run a lot better and operate more smoothly than this thing and it even has a nicer display with a metal back piece rather than plastic. I'm shocked there was no ICS update for it, it's better than half the entry level Androids coming out these days. I'm kind of disappointed in the Ace II X, to be honest.

The One V is another entry-level but at least it's fairly smooth. If the Ace II X was optimized a bit better I would sell the heck out of that phone all day long because it's basically a poor man's S III, but with the choppiness, it's tough to show a customer that it's "good". It's got everything going for it. Decent specs with a good design at an affordable price? Sounds sweet! Optimized horribly, unfortunately.

iI don't know why ppl hate on the plastic of Samsung, phones, it's much better than metal. Metal scratches & dents after awhile while Samsung stays looking good even when scratched a bit because it's the same color all the way through the plastic. Samsungs are also made so that when they fall the Shock is dispersed as the cover is designed to come off and it doesn't take a blunt force. They do however have very fragile glass which is getting better & better with newer versions of Gorilla glass are created. The next Samsung device that has gorilla glass 3 will be almost indestructible even without a case of any sort. I haven't tried the Galaxy Ace 2X but I have heard all the things Jonathan said & its just a little under powered for the version of Android it's running, this is why it won't be updated to Jelly Bean.

I agree with every word Jonathan has. I had it and it was the worst phone I've had, in my opinion. Lasted probably a day lol. Android for me <

I have this phone and it is laggy, but I'm going to keep it till the s3 gets cheaper. Sometimes the browser freezes on me and I have to kill it through the task manager. One time it froze enough that I couldn't even bring up task manager and had to reboot phone.

It's an entry level phone and you get what you pay for.
