Samsung Ace keyboard not working in text messagine

Over the last week, sometimes when I try to text, the keyboard is working and I am able to text, but when I hit enter or a space, where the text should appear in the message it is blank (almost like hitting enter or space is deleting the text) This is fairly random, and if I go out of the text messages completely, back to the home page, it will usually re-activate. Anyone else have this problem or do I likely need to take the phone back?

Try going into the app settings and clearing the cache for the keyboard

Also you may want to look into using a third party keyboard like SwiftKey, you have no idea what you're missing. It is like it's reading your mind.

You know what else they're missing out on? Using an actually good phone.

I know its not what you want to hear but you may want to consider upgrading. Right now the Moto G is 150$ outright and blows that ace out of the water in every single aspect. Aamof it blows almost every dual core phone out of the water and is comparable to a nexus 4 or s3.
