Hello im looking to use my samsung s3 MHL adapter for video to a moniter , but with the newest update this no longer works.
Is there a way to go back to a older update?
or is there another way to mirror a samsung s3 ?

You can root your phone and use Samsung knox to load the previous OS version. It takes a little bit of reading but isn't particularly difficult if you can navigate computers ok enough.

Is wireless mirroring not a potential option for you?

It's in connection settings but you'll need a compatible display. I'm guessing that you don't have one? You don't need the internet but will need a WiFi network I believe.

Chrome casts or anything similar are great. It's so convenient and works with any equipment

To paul,s comment....so there is a wifi connection made between my samsung s3 and chromecast  ?  This works where there is NO wifi / phone service around ?

Thank you all for helping , i would like to stay away from rooting my phone and messing it up .

No, you need wifi for a chromecast.

That's an app for the chromecast.
Chromecast needs WiFi to work.
