My phone was on the arm of the couch and I was busy doing things and came back to it looking like this? It wasn't hot and I took the battery out right away.

Does anyone know how I can factory reset it if I can't see text on the screen?

A factory reset won't work. You need to take it to a Koodo store/kiosk to be looked at. I don't care what your story is, but this won't be covered by manufacturers warranty most likely. That doesn't just happen on its own without something happening beforehand to make it do so

That is very untrue...the exact same thing has happened to my Galaxy S4 phone 2 days ago on my phone that is 11 months old. Its been in an OtterBox from day 1, and it has never been dropped. Can someone suggest something useful. Thanks.

Taking it to a Koodo Store is your best bet as you are still within Manufacturer Warranty. They will help you go through the warranty process, send it away for repairs and possibly give you a loaner phone.

You can read the Warranty and Repair Policy here:
