Wifi will not work on phone.
The problem is not the internet connection itself.
The phone's wifi center literally will not even turn on.
On this phone, you need to "turn on" wifi. The phone will no longer allow me to do even that.
I took the phone into the store and they said to try a factory reset, but when I did that it still didn't work.
Any other solutions?

Hi Heather,

You may have to perform a more in-depth factory reset using the phones' built-in Android System Recovery. I've provided a video below that goes through the steps to get you to the Android System Recovery. I want you to get to the menu only and not go any further because there's one additional step not covered in the video.

At the Android System Recovery menu, scroll down to 'wipe cache partition' using the Volume Down button. Select 'wipe cache partition' using the Power button, then scroll down using the Volume Down button and select 'yes' using the Power button. The phone will automatically revert back to the initial Android System Recovery menu and you can complete the 'wipe data/factory reset' as described in the video.

My other suggestion, if you're not interested in going through all of this technical stuff or if the above method fails to yield positive results, perhaps take a look at some of Koodo's offerings. The Ace 2x is an older device and there are newer devices that are a lot more reliable, affordable and Wi-Fi works right out of the box. I have both devices mentioned below and I would recommend either of them.

Moto G - Android

Nokia Lumia 635 - WindowsPhone
