Samsung Galaxy A5 ongoing issues (probably not worth your trouble)

If you're considering buying one of these phones, It's a handy and sturdy phone, but keep in mind that it regularly seems to have wifi connection problems, and- at least in my case- completely stops working even after being repaired by Koodo twice.
I've had my A5 for just under a year now and have not physically damaged it in anyway, but for whatever reason the wifi will shut off, the battery will start rapidly draining (heating up the phone) and the home screen will freeze, leaving me with the top task bar and lower tabs section next to the home button that I can sometimes navigate through, but 8/10 times I'll have to just restart the phone.
I've had to set up multiple different phones in the last month due to having to do factory resets and getting loaner phones while my A5 is sent off for repair. I just recently got it back again and after about two weeks of working fine, the problem has started again. My only option at this point is to keep using my warranty to continue getting the phone repaired (meaning having to deal with more loaner phones and not having proper access to my information), or Samsung wants to charge me $130 for a brand new A5 even though this is a factory problem and not something I've caused.
I've done manual resets after completely wiping the phone already (in case some sort of error was coming from backing up my files?) meaning just logging back into things and downloading my standard apps that most people would have on their phones (nothing foreign that may have bugs or viruses) Getting stuck with loaner phones and not having the access I need to things like my schedule is something that had a really negative impact on me during the last month when I had to go 2 weeks without my phone (I use it to help manage things like appointments and things I have to do throughout the day due to some mental health issues) really screwed me over. Not sure what I should do at this point.
If anyone has had similar issues or has suggestions for what may be causing the problem, I would love anything to keep me from having to send this stupid thing in for repairs again for it to  stop working again after two weeks.

I'm sorry to hear that. I've yet to have heard of such problems with the 2017 A5. You definitely should have been able to get it replaced without cost by samsung. I'd escalate it further honestly until you get it properly replaced. I've got one as a backup and another as a mini tablet for my son. Both work without issue.
