What is the safest over clock some one has done on there S2X. And Could you tell me how much your battery drain was affected. I will be using SetCPU for Root Users for controlling the overclock. Thanks for any input in advance. I have done all the configuring, as far as disabling stock apps I don't need and all the Samsung bloatware. And I run a start-up manager. I run usually with about 400-440 free ram. I have turn off windows animation scale and transition animation scale. I just want to see if I can squeeze some more life out of this phone.

Perhaps you may find better assistance at www.xda-developers.com. forums over there are crazy for hacks, mods and customUI etc.

No crashes, S2x appears very responsive with this setting: 1512 MHz max and 432 MHz min. (experimenting between on demand, conservative and performance modes - set to performance mode for now). Played around with some sysctl kernel tweaks (vm, kernel, fs using ROM Toolbox Pro).

Noticing only 330 - 400 MB of free RAM. I'm running LiquidSmooth ROM RC9, GO Next launcher, zero bloatware. 26 hour battery life, from full charge to 10%. Light to moderate use including calls and SMS, intermittent Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, standalone GPS and mobile data usage. Created a couple of profiles so I'll be able to better compare and figure out which combination of values performs best.

Isn't the default clock speed 1500mhz on the chip. Have you ever gone higher?

Well you did ask for the safest overclock. I can't see a 12 MHz increase doing any damage. Of all the overclock tools I've used, I can't get past 1512 MHz on the S2x, a safeguard perhaps, as higher values could be detrimental to the overall stability and performance of the S2x. Try experimenting with different minimum values in SetCpu, it wont change the maximum clock speed but it will prevent the processor from cycling to lower values.
