Why am I now expected to write the dates and times for my top up for pre paid? Where is my invoice reminder text? I was told to go to another company after being lied too by several customer service representatives. That's not how you keep customers. Here I come Freedom Mobile.

Envy,

That information should be available (date/time) in your prepaid selfserve. I assumed you are a prepaid customer. There aren't invoice reminder text for prepaid. You paid everything upfront. If you want to top up, here is the information: https://www.koodomobile.com/help/topping-your-prepaid-account

What did they "lie" to you?

The same non sense. Of course you pay upfront, I'm aware of how it works invoice reminder or bill reminder ..does not make a difference. Shouldn't have to worry about that kind of thing when all other providers amd businesses always send a friendly reminder. It's called customer service and it's the business Koodo is in. Unfortunately they don't realize this or choose not to care. They lie just about everytime I call in.

Example- call 1: I will not have to worry the text notification problem has been identified and is being fixed. Call 2: there is no problem otsy device. Call 3: the last to guy lied to you it's not guaranteed it just a curtisy and can't be relied on.

They should also stop the salesman language when speaking with customers it's demeaning when you say I understand when you really don't understand anything. I mean they barely understand English half the time. Just be real people and deal with the problem of.you don't know an answer just say so and get someone else instead of making up garbage that makes no sense.

Koodo prepaid does remind you 3 days before the due date, by text message. If you let your plan expire, you will get an email too reminding you to top up. You then have almost 3 months left to sort your account. If you do let your account expire, auto top up doesn't work, you will need to manually top up.

You actually don't need to call in for any of this and you risk additional charges... but all that is moot since you're leaving anyway :)

Koodo used to remind me of my due date however 3 months ago they did not. I was told it was a system error and they were aware of the problem and fixing it. The following month same thing. This month same thing woke up phone was off no email no text. I called again after 45 min of waiting on hold I was told that the past guy who told it was being fixed was misinforming me and that I should call in or write it down and if I was concerned to go somewhere. I have to say this guy was a supervisor and treated the problem like it was no big deal. Not even ok customer service, just terrible. To top it off no Canada wide calling anymore??? Sad.

And the last remark and smug smileys don't help one bit. Hello Freedom Mobile. $50 unlimited everything 10 g data. Free Canada and US calling. And great customer service of there anything like Shaw!

I wasn't being smug... you came here to post an angry message and tell Koodo you are leaving - so really you didn't ask for help. It is your perfect right to do so and I wish you luck with Freedom Mobile!

You are comparing a prepaid with postpaid of freedom, which wasn't fair. Anyway, enjoy your new carrier, cheers.

Actually posting so other people know Koodo doesn't have reminders anymore. I've never dealt with a business that talks to customers like this. That's all. It was rude and you are too. If you are that grumpy maybe Koodo is treating their employees like the employees treat customers. Wouldn't surprise me as poor attitudes are contagious. But good ones are too, have a nice day and I will enjoy Freedom Mobile I enjoy the short wait times and friendly staff at Shaw so I'm sure they'll be great too!

To be clear, this is a Public Forum 'Envy Dog' you are talking to other Koodo customers here, unless you see 'Official Rep' on their badge.  Do you recall the the person's name you talked too?

What would have been more effective, was saying that your topup reminder notifications stopped 3 months ago and you are unable to get them started again, even after calling in to ask for help
