Q. Why was I charged $1.80 for roaming texts sent by Koodo only? I never sent or received any personal texts while in the Carribean?

Texts from Koodo should be free... are you sure you didn't receive any other text while abroad?

Incoming is always free.

Check your text message log and see if anything was sent while you were in the Carribean

Yes. 100% sure. It happened to my wife as well. The texts clearly show Koodo as the sender!!

In this case you should send Koodo a private message via Facebook Messenger or DM via Twitter because as Dennis said, incoming is always free. If you're 100% certain it also came from Koodo that should especially be free. It will require a rep to correct.

I did another check....it appears it was a text that came through to me surprisingly so the mystery is only partially solved. I did not accept any requests by Koodo to connect while I was away, so I'm still not sure how that text came through. Thanks for the responses.

Unless you left your phone in Airplane mode it is possible to receive incoming texts and calls. Ensuring the international voice add-on is not added to your account would also prevent use of the phone internationally, but reduces the utility of the device if you needed to make calls, etc.

@Nickster your bill amount has been the exact same (down to the penny) for the last 6 months. Where do you see these charges?

Bernard....The charge appears on my current usage page which will likely be on my next bill...if I'm not mistaken??

Yes, I see it now. What makes you think the texts (one on the 12th and two on the 13th of Nov.) have come from us? What was it content?
