I will be travelling to both Northern Ireland and Ireland at the end of May for 2 weeks. I would like to have access to a roaming plan (data) ...does Koodoo offer one?

Not as such, Helen. You can enable roaming of course, but it will cost you $1.50 to make or receive calls, $5 per MB (!) and $0.60 per message sent.

If you really need Internet when overseas and WiFi won't do, I'd recommend you unlock your phone and get a local SIM card from there :)

They don't have a pass for European countries yet. You can still use data on a pay per use basis with them. Data roaming is not cheap with any cellphone company. You maybe better off having your phone unlocked , get a SIM in Ireland and use a local Irish phone company for that purpose.

thank you both @sophia @rudyW. The SIM card is a good idea, however it does not cover both the North and South of Ireland...as they are 2 countries. I will ask at the airport for a solution.

Have a look at http://www.piranha-mobile.com/ Helen.. I use them for all my travels. They are an international roaming company and offer good roaming rates in several countries... price their rates for both North and South Ireland :)

Another company to check out is http://www.truphone.com/ - usually their rates are a bit higher but I really like them as well.

Whenever Koodo does not have a quick add-on available, a good point of departure is the international roaming page.

http://help.koodomobile.com/coverage-...

Click on HSPA and enter the country you will be visiting. The pull-down will give you the names of Koodo's usual roaming partners, so at least you now have several sources for a compatible SIM, and can investigate before leaving.
