Can you call from your phone or is it just receiving calls that is the problem? What is happening when they are trying to call you? Are they dialing properly? The site below might help.

hi David,
Which local carrier are you on? Have you tried to switch to another carrier and see if it helps? I would also try to restart the phone.

I have no idea. And I did received a call when I was in Macau. I also tried switch carrier but not successful. I would expect the easy roaming is really easy.

Have you tried to call a local number? and the local people can call you?

Easyroam is like an accounting code, with that Koodo know how to charge people. Roaming is the same like before, and it is controlled partly by local roaming partners also. That was why I asked if you can switch to another carrier. Which phone are you using?

When you say they can't call you, what does that mean? They hear the ringing sound but you don't? Or they simply can't connect the call?

They had the message: this phone number is not in service, but my text and data worked fine. I am in mainland China now and everything is fine.

If you are headng back to HK and this issue happens again you will need to contact Koodo.  A private message to Facebook would be the best option, but dont expect a response until after the long weekend
