I was charged $10 for roaming even though I was still in Canada, while traveling along the US border. How do I go about addressing this and getting my money back?

Billing disputes require sending a private message to Koodo via Facebook Messenger or DM via Twitter to get it sorted out.

or I think he could have used 2x 5$/20MB data roaming (payperuse without easyroam add-on).
@Michael, Can you post a snapshot of your bill where it said $10 was charged for. (delete all personal information before posting). Also you could avoid roaming accidentally by manually setting the Carrier to Koodo (instead of automatic).

I just have the same problem. I got charged roaming for receiving a text message from Canada while in Canada.  I live close to the border but this is the first time I have had this problem. I want to avoig having this problem again. Who do I contact? I am not a tech wizz and would really love to have a life rep to sort this out with.

Go into Settings, tap on Carrier, select Koodo.

thanks Allan. One more question, Mats said that incoming texts are always free, wherever they are from. True?

Also give them a call to dispute the roaming charge if you werent in the USA.

As Allan says manually selecting Koodo will prevent this from happening again. If you ever do want to roam though, make sure you set it back to automatic..

@Almut, looking at your last bill I don't see the text charge. There is additional charge for calling Europe though. Is that what may have made you question the invoice amount?

I think I might have mistaken a notification that my phone was roaming and that I would be charged if I did make a call. This just happened this afternoon. I'll wait for the next bill and see what's up. Thanks for your response.
