Right now my cell says everyone of my contacts is out the service area. Why? I am in my house.

I don't get your question. You meant you could not make a call or your contacts wasn't reachable.
Did you see Koodo service in your phone? If you could not get your contact, it could be their network issues, not yours.

I try to phone J.    I phone her every day with my cell from my home.  printing comes up on my phone saying" out of service area"  Ditto for all of my friends.  Plus when i call my cell with the landline it goes immediately to my
VM.

What phone are you using? Have you tried to reset the network settings? you could also take out the SIM and insert it back again? It could be a problem with either SIM or phone settings.

And  is you account active in selfserve?

Thank- you so much,  THe network settings were strong, so I took out the sim card and replaced it and everything is back to normal.  I don't understand what selfserve is or where it is found.

Nice, great to hear that your phone is working now.

Koodo has online system that allows user to do some options themselves. There are many things you could do there, including usages, billing.. The links are below:

If you are on Prepaid: https://prepaidselfserve.koodomobile.com/
or Monthly plan: https://www.koodomobile.com/my-account/overview

If your phone is telling you "out of service area", that indicates that it is you who is out of the service area, not the person you are trying to contact.
