If I buy a new Moto G today and next week an elephant steps on it, can I simply use self-serve swap phones and register my old Nokia flip-phone under "upgrade my current phone"? I'm not sure how to revert to old phone if I had to.

If this nokia flip is a 3g phone then yes however if it is a 2g phone then no. And you might need to buy a new sim card depending on the size the device uses. To swap sims you go to swap mobile phone>then pick the option that applies to you.

I am using a 3g NOKIA Flip now. The Moto G will require a new Sim, different size. All that is fine. If I revert back tho, that is where I am unclear. My options seem to be "Upgrade my current phone" or "New SIM Card in my current phone".

I think either option is the same as in terms of what it does.

On my Koodo plan I have had Nexus S and S2X before my now Moto G. Having said that I can remove my SIM card from Moto G , put it into the adapter and use any of these phones anytime I want without calling in to Koodo.
