Returning to Koodo from PM?

I had switched to PM a month ago for the $40/4.5G plan because on Koodo I only had the $35/1G.

Now I have received the $40/4G offer to return to Koodo.
Only problem is I have a bad habit of prepaying, and my PM  is paid up to August 26th [$46], and I left Koodo in June with a credit of $11.

And Koodo never even pro-rated my bill on the closing invoice [I had ported on June 27 but my account was paid up to July 7].
Any help/ideas on what I can do here as I would prefer to go back to  postpaid monthly with Koodo now they  have offered to fix my data needs.

Well they default to end of billing cycle unless you specify otherwise. You can likely get the Koodo account prorated back to you. As for public and the prepaying, that's likely gone. Unless part of the Koodo deal is a credit to cover your prepaid balance it is lost.

Goran, but how would I know if they offer any credit to cover the lost PM balance? Also, I have the Koodo SIM from last month. Would that be re-usable?Could I provide any info here so if Bernard or one of the Koodo folk passes by they can look this up? Old account # maybe...it's less than 30 days since the last Kood invoice?

You should know as part of the offer you received if there is any thus time for it.

You could also just try asking. They're all under the same Telus umbrella. Maybe the rep can do something. But of course no guarantees.

Yes your Koodo sim is reusable.

srlawren, I really don't notice any difference between LTE and LTE lite for data, so that doesn't matter too much for me.

And as far as access to help goes, I didn't notice much difference there either  for the 4 months I was with Koodo. Just that I would have preferred postpaid.

If I could  get the same Koodo $40/$6 gb offered to others, I would stick it out long term with them unless they bump rates. Too much hassle to keep changing for a few $$$, but Koodo wouldn't increase my data when I was on the $35/1G

Guess I will stick it out with PM then.
Thanks

Why do you prefer postpaid? Curious. I would rather have prepaid as there is no surprise overage fees at all ever.

Well in Canada there's a differential in plans between the two. Unless you have lighter usage needs, you'll want postpaid. Plus there's the whole tabs giving phone subsidies model.

Yes but if your a heavy user that uses more then your data say 10gb. Then public would be better still since it's $30/1gb vs $70/1gb with koodo last I checked.

I have the 10gb for 60 plan. I'm not worried about that. Otherwise you can opt to buy 1gb for 20 when you reach your limit.
