So I know there is a usage cap during the trial period of a new phone if you don't want to be billed for the usage when you return the new phone assuming it doesn't work out for you. But, if I am trying out a new phone and not sure if I like it, and I do return it within 15 days but I go back to my old phone with the same plan that i'm currently on, there won't be any extra charges right? Unless I go over the plan like usual? I just keep paying my monthly plan like I used to do pre-tab since I kept the same plan when I got this new phone? I am basically wondering if I can go over the trial usage cap with this new phone if I plan on staying with koodo even if I decide to return the phone?

The usage cap is only for new account activations if you decide to cancel your account. And even then, you're only billed for the airtime/data used. It doesn't affect your ability to return the phone.

An add to what Ivan mentioned is watch out for some resellers as they incorrectly assume that the plan usage also limits the phone returns an may give you a hard time about the return
