Restore option to turn OFF voicemail greeting add-on

I have enabled a personal voicemail greeting. After my recorded message plays there's an annoying message giving details about how to use voicemail: "Please record your message after the tone..." I want to turn this additional recording OFF. Other providers with this "feature" allow customers to turn off this additional message.

I'm with you! It's very annoying for callers to hear all this additional blah blah, voicemail has been around for over 30 years so I'd say people should know what to do by now :D

I just finished checking, from what I can tell you can't do this anywhere in the greeting/name options in the voicemail. You should post this in the ideas section, maybe it will be considered.

Hey Tim. This is something that is hard coded into all voicemail systems. At this time, there isn't anything we can do. Should this change, we will provide an update for everyone :).

MykeC: thank you for your response. A forum like this would be a waste without participation from Koodo (in this case). I hope my feedback might help motivate Koodo to enable that choice.

I believe that Telus/Koodo buys the programming behind their VM system (versus home-brewed). It's surprising that a competitor whose voice menu is pretty much identical, and with the same female voice (even the exact same words!) has the option to turn off this undesired 'feature'. From longer-term Koodo customers I understand the option used to be available but disappeared some time ago.

I believe somebody has put revenue (those messages are counted as part of your charged air-time) ahead of customer satisfaction in this case. It's a shame because otherwise your offerings are pretty attractive.
