Requesting clarification from a Koodo Employee

Good evening,

I have just purchased a Nexus 5 via a Koodo Booth and I wanted to clarify something. When purchasing my phone, it was stated that for the first 10 days, I have unlimited data.

For some reason, after reading all of information that the person gave me, there is nothing in writing to verify this. Can someone clarify this? I don't want to go over my data on my first month!! lol

If you are new to koodo and this is your first phone they indeed give you 10 days of free data. It's only for new activation and not for upgrades. It's not in the papers you got from them, but it is true.

I think it's to soften the blow with the first bill. Warren, when you get your first bill it's going to be higher than what you expect for 2 reasons: 1) you're monthly services are charged one month in advance, all carriers do this 2) on your first bill, you're also charged for proration, that's from the date you activated to your bill's invoice date. Some people think it's double billing but it's not, you'll only see proration on your first bill or anytime you make a rate plan change mid bill cycle.

Its not really free unlimited data. It's a test period to help you determine how much data you will need so that you can change to the appropriate plan if necessary. And because it's unofficial, there's no promise it is truly unlimited

It was free for us. Used over 1gb in less than ten days on the first bill and as promised we weren't charged for it.
