Remove number from directories

My wife is on my account and she has been getting several calls/voicemails/texts from people trying to get a hold of someone who, apparently, used to have the number she has now.  A quick google search indicates that her current koodo number is listed with someone else's name on canada411. So, now the listing is old.  Anyone have advice on how I can get my wife's number removed from these and other online directories?  I couldn't find anything on canada411

I would ask to look at the other side of the coin as well. Many of us now have VoIP or Cell numbers as our permanent base numbers, and obviously we don't get included in local white pages.

This is just one of the many reasons the Yellow Pages collapsed.

Is there some "authority" other than the local regulated telco landline provider who can include or exclude you in the common printed listings, at your discretion?

There's also the possibility of changing the number for a new one so you don't get this problem anymore
