Refer-a-friend not working at all

Hey all,

I've been trying to "refer a friend" unsuccessfully over the last weeks.

1- When I start the process through "https://referafriend.koodomobile.com", I get prompted to login to my Koodo self-serve account, and then it asks me to "verify my phone number". It then tells me that my number is already in use. I have not been able to get around this.

2- I added a line to my account at a Koodo kiosk in a shopping mall over the week-end (let's call it line C -- my account had lines A and B). I explained my issues with the referral program to them -- they told me that lines added to the same account couldn't benefit from the referral program. It comes as a surprise to me, as I remember when I added line B, I went through the referral program and both lines benefited from it (2x50). After reading on this forum, it seems like this is still something that can be done.

Do you have any advice?

1) Are you the refer-er or refer-ee when you are having difficulty?

Have you logged into self serve successfully before(like to check your ebill)?

When I tried to send a referral I was able to get the special referral link.

The refer-ee will then use my special link to enter their info

2)Yes  You can refer lines on the same account

That rule didn't say that, it allows you to double your referral limit to $600. It didn't say the extra line can receive referral credit.

"Sure does! The referral credit limit of $300 per calendar year is per subscriber, so if you add another line on to your account your limit will become $600. Just make sure that both of your lines are registered for the program using different Koodo Self-Serve accounts each with their own email address and are each sending out referrals"

Thanks for the reply Dennis.

1) Referer - I am referring someone (I wanted to send a referral to add line C)

2) Oh... I guess I'll have to reach out to Koodo to ask to get it "retroactively".

Once I login, this is the page i get with my referral link.  So you are saying you are not seeing this page and get stuck prior to this as it is asking to confirm your phone number?  If so, what happens when you login to your self serve normally to check your bill?

I don't see this. Posting screenshots (email and phone # redacted).

It used to work before the referral system and self serve merged (I think).

Also, the other features of self-serve work properly (billing, plan, usage, etc.)

Ok I have never seen this before.

Unless someone else can provide some advice, I recommend contacting Koodo via private message on facebook or twitter and a rep can look into it

2. if you want to refer yourself, I would suggest you use another email and put the new line there. It would help.

I never said you couldn't. It worked with your own email before. However, the last time I tried, It didn't.
