Refer a friend - bonus amount confusion

I am looking for a Koodo rep for verification. I referred a friend who signed up. There was a special deal at the time (not sure what) but I received an email congratulating me on the signing up and saying I would get $100 credit on my bill for my friend signing up but it would take up to 8 weeks. Last week I received a notice that the bonus went on but it was only $25 (which is the usual amount). Thats ok, if thats all I get but why did Koodo send me an email saying I was going to receive $100 when I am not? It was the only friend I had sign up so it wasnt because I had multiiple people. I decided I was going to use the extra money for a new phone...now forget it.

Not sure what the issue was but you might want to send Koodo a private message to their FB page where they can verify your account and look into this closer for you

Hi Mrs Brown,

the $100 referral promo was for an online activation; if your friend went to a boutique to activate his/her line you both get the basic referral of $25.

On another note, right now the referral bonus is 50$ until May 10th

Ok, some results. After sending a private message to Koodo's fb page - who then referred me to the Refer a friend inquiry, I am supposed to get the $100 referral because my friend did sign up online but it supposed to take up to 8 weeks to complete. I guess they gave me the standard $25 first...which is so confusing.  Hopefully the rest will come soon.  Thanks for everyones help!

I have been a customer for years ... I think since 2006 but this was my first refer, and he did it online. The credit on my bill just says refer a friend. I think that was a mistake. I will wait to see if it is fixed as it has been confirmed it should be $100. I also checked and that is my only confirmed referreral.

@Diana,
There is no "$25" upfront and 75 later. If you saw $25, then it was $25 total. I think there might be something wrong somewhere that made $25 instead of $100. It could be some issue with your friend activation time, he might have activated outside the eligible period.

As you mentioned, you already sent a message to Koodo facebook, I would ask them about the issue and the $100 credit as stated in the email.

Mrs Brown, I have 2 questions:

1- How long ago you became a Koodo subscriber?

2- If you activated with Koodo within the past 2/3 months did someone else invited you over??? That would explain the 25$ you got on your current invoice.

3- Have you posted the "refer a friend" link on social media: FB, Twitter or sent it to more then 1 person?

If on your invoice it said; Refer a Friend Credit : $25. Then it was a 2nd referral
