Recognized Koodo SIM as Telus with new unlocked phone

My Koodo micro sim card is cut to Nano by myself. It work well with my old Moto X 2nd Gen. After it was inserted to my new DOOGEE MIX 2, the new phone recognized Telus as provider and got NO SERVICE error.

I am wondering what went wrong.

1. Is my new DOOGEE MIX 2 compatible with Koodo?
2. Is the problem related to resize the SIM card? If I buy a new SIM card will help to solve the NO SERVICE error?

It's not compatible with koodo unfortunately

These are the frequencies Koodo are currently using

4G LTE and LTE Advanced:
2100 MHz downlink and 1700 MHz uplink (AWS)
1900 MHz
700 MHz
850 MHz

WCDMA :850 MHz and 1900 MHz (UMTS)
CDMA: 850 MHz and 1900 MHz

Thank you very much.

Does Koodo not support GSM anymore?

No Koodo doesnt have a 2g network, I believe Rogers is the only carrier with 2g in Canada

Cutting the sim card changes nothing. I've used a cut sim card for quite some time.

LTE-A uses 2600mhz primarily so it should still at least have data connection but not sure what's going on. You could try asking someone else to put in their sim card to see what happens. Either way, until Koodo launches VoLTE, this phone can only work with data.

You can view this (https://www.ertyu.org/steven_nikkel/c...) to see what you have for cell towers and frequencies around you.

In that case could it be only one of the dual SIM Card slots supports that frequency Goran that one should be getting data on?
Did you try putting your SIM in each of the two SIM slots L. Shi to see if you get data at least?
