Recently I've changed my plan. Why I got charged about over-usage of airtime?

Hello guys. My question is why I got charged about extra airtime minutes after I've changed my plan whereas I didn't "cross" the minutes' limit? Few more details: the plan was changed 6 days after new bill cycle started, I've used 90 min from 500
Thanks in advance.

hi Rostislav,
How many overage minutes did Koodo charge you? Can you post a snapshot of it (hide all personal information).
if you used only 6days of 500minutes, they would prorate the amount for 6 days as: 500/30x6 = 100mins, for 5 days, it would be 500/30x5=83 mins. You used 90minutes, it could run over your prorated amount (if koodo counted 5 days of using your old plan)

Hello Azure,
Thank you for the prompt response. Koodo have recognized 67 min as part of a plan and charged me about 26 min extra. Could you explain me please what is idea after this procedure?

it was because of the proration of the plan. You had 500 minutes for 30days, if you changed the plan in mid-cycle you would have "prorated" minutes only. If they said 67, then they counted 4 days 500/30x4 = 66.67 minutes.

So it is much better to change plans at the new billing cycle, or make sure you don't go over the prorated minutes before changing.
