So unhappy with Koodo!! It is the second time that I pay for a service and dont get it! Firts it was data, and now, minutes to call inside Canada. I am tired, lost a morning trying to solve this. Nobody can help me nor by internet, nor in person. I am unabled to do calls, even though I paid for it! Just dont recomend pre-paid Koodo services! Also... they have no support for pre-paid clients. REALLY dont recomend Koodo. I Only had headaches so far. I only wish I had my money back.

There are thousands of folks successfully using prepaid. Can you provide a bit more detail about the steps you took?

Ok. I bought a "Canada wide talk booster". It was discounted in my debit card, but I did not have the service. I cant make or receive calls with my cell phone.

Nor the toll free koodo number I can dial. I went to a Koodo store, and the girl did not know what was happening either. But she could not do any more efforts because there is no suport for prepaid costumers. I really dont believe that there are too many  folks successfully using Koodo.

@Reneta: What phone are you using? was it compatible with Koodo network? have you tried to reset the phone and see if it helps? Was it working before on Koodo network?

I assumed you bought the booster through your selfserve and everything was normal and active?

There is support for prepaid customers by dialing *611.
There is limited support at stores.

Did you apply the booster to your prepaid plan, or did you simply make a payment in the amount of a booster? Usually it is a two step process. You also can only use ‘Visa Debit’ debit cards to my knowledge, unless buying a voucher at a merchant.

I am using Sansung J5 Prime, and it worked before with Koodo. I already bought the booster many times before... but twice I had this problem.

I cannot dial *611, because even that I am not able.

I added the booster to my prepaid plan at the selfserve website, and paid it.

My card is a Visa debit.

Oh. That's unexpected even with your noted issues. What happens when you try your sim in another phone? Or another sim in your phone?

*sad face*
I had a longer first reply but it didn't post/save but you did answer some of the questions I had.

First thing is try what Dinh said and restart your phone. This can solve most common problems.
Does texting work? If not try to reset your network settings.
Did you buy your talk booster on your self serve? When you login to self serve do you see the booster available for use?

I doubt facebook will help you. I sent them a msg recently, but they replied they could not help because I am prepaid. I was told I had to phone 611.

What was your question to them @Lily?
I'm surprised they were not able to answer your question or direct you to some resolution. (satisfactory or otherwise)

Thats the worst thing I ever heard. Who doesnt provide support for a service, that you purchased. 611 only works if your service works. What about if you need a new sim, etc... how are you supposed to find out Maybe the people who have prepaid don't spend enough to be important, maybe tou need the extra large plan.

Mind you I have a monthly plan, but Im only as loyal as my providers.
