I have a prepaid phone. I am told that I should be able to read the text messages online through the self serve, however, I am unable to find out exactly how to do it.

You can install a PC or tablet-based program such as MightyText to enable your phone to sync with your PC or tablet. You can also back up your messages with a such a utility. These features are largely limited to a device on the same wifi network as your phone.

There is no baked-in ability in Android to check your messages or notifications from somewhere else. There is  no difference in whether you are on pre-paid or monthly.

Hi SR,

Where did you hear that? It is not possible to read your text messages through self serve. I think the only provider who does (or did) that was Rogers with their MyNumber service
