Used $40 add on for Panama. Not happy. Connection contact in Panama not reliable. Used this very few times as I was not able to use /connect the minutes, text messages. Koodo added for these services as used, when not used. Added Some data not used. If I cancelled it they would charge $ 104.10 for whatever little I used. I will not use this service in future. Better get a local SIM card. Not pleased with this add on.

It's almost always better to get a local SIM, unless you need to receive calls, or use it very infrequently.

Try going into your network settings and try a different carrier to see if you get better results.  It's only going to be as good as the local carrier.  This is out of Koodo's hands

The add on does not alter the way your device functions or receives a signal. All it does is add billing discounts. In order for the device to work, there must be a compatiable network available. Compatibility to foreign networks can vary by device. Koodo doesn't guarantee services while Roaming because they don't own those networks.

Anytime your phone did get a signal it probably did grab data too. Use is use.

I agree with your comments, but then give credits or deduct if service not delivered. To charge and do not provide is bad business. They should NOT give this choice. Irrespective, the response from Koodo was not professional.

Try my suggestion of connecting to a different network.  You might find that it works better.

But since they can't guarantee coverages it's really not their fault either and they still must pay the other carrier, whom you roamed on, for the use.
