Questions getting asked and re-asked

I don't know what to do about this, but it seems that most of the forum posts are question already answered here on the forum. I can't imagine they don't know the answer to those "already asked questions"

e.g.
Lost Phone
Send MMS without data
Data control application

What I demand, is the ability to create a better FAQ maybe? Or pinned threads that the user must read with the most common problem?

The way I see the forum is more like a live chat than a forum.

Have a nice day!

Another issue is a remarkable number of people lately posting personal data who seem to be under the impression they are writing directly and privately to Koodo, detailing billing problems or other situations the community clearly can't help them with and not realizing that they are posting in a public forum.

As for you point out it being chatty, well that is what makes a community but I find many helpful people here.

Robert, this has been introduced more than once (and even by us MMs) but it's actually a GetSatisfaction limitation. We want stickies and we are waiting for GetSatisfaction to make them possible. Hopefully soon.

At first I only thought about a better FAQ, but then only came the idea of stickies :P

People think it will be easier to ask the question rather than searching for the answer.

The forum allow you search for similar topics even when you write, but people will still select to post. Some people will post because it is easier, and others will post just to add more posts.

From many, many (too many haha) years of experience, I know that no matter how clearly you post even the simplest of directions, you will find several people who will still ignore or miss it... it's human nature and I'm afraid getting worse with every generation.

However, it would be marvelous to be able to direct askers to a sticky post, rather than explain things over and over, so I can't wait to see the GetS update :D
