Questionable Data Usage on Account Summary

I'm new to Koodo so checking my data usage regularly to make sure it's correct. It's showing blocks of 10 MB being used when I know I wasn't using the phone. For instance, one morning when my phone was turned off, the data usage summary showed 6 blocks of 10 MB being used all at the exact time. Does anyone know what could be doing this?

Where are you checking your data usage? Is it through Self Serve or your phone's data counter. This information isn't typically updated in real time in Self Serve as far as I know.

I've been checking it through Self-Serve. I figured it wasn't updated in real time but I'm puzzled as to why it would be showing blocks of 10 MB being used during a 2-day period where my phone was at home and on wi-fi. So it shouldn't be showing any data usage at all.

What does your phone's internal Data counter in Settings say?

If it matches your account then I would call Koodo to ask WTF

Any picture messages? These would consume data, even though you are not charged for it.

I moved about 4 months ago. My bills used to be around the $70-100 mark after going over Koodo's ridiculous tiny two gigs. All of a sudden my bills are $260. Still on Wi-Fi, still using my phone for all the same things AND working full time during the day so on my phone minimally during the days in the week.

Stupid.

The data use has to come from somewhere. Check what apps have permission to use data in the background or mobile data at all. Are your apps set to update automatically, regardless of whether you're on WiFi or not?
