How is your signal?

Do you have full bars/good coverage?

Do you have Blocking Mode/Do Not Disturb Mode on? Look in your settings

Android phone Signal strength:

Download from Google Play:

or something similar. Gives readings for voice and data in dB units. The bars the phone shows are just barely decorations. As long as you show less than 100 dB, you should be able to communicate.

Had a local problem with trees galore at home in a rural area and was able to find a “hot spot” where everything works.

Not to nitpick, but I think you meant -dBm units.

You're right. Just be thankful if the inquiring minds actually get as far as trying it out.

There are also sister apps that track your WiFi signal. Amazing how having a large metal object between 2 stations can affect a signal.
