Hey guys I have the Qiku 360 N5S phone from China. I'm using Public Mobile at the moment and I'm planning on switching to Koodo. The problem is that I can't figure out if my phone is compatible with Koodos band frequency. The different terms and numbers confuse me. Can someone please let me know if my phone works with Koodos network please!? Thank you very much. My phones bands are:

2G: GSM B2/B3/B5/B8
3G: WCDMA B1/B2/B5/B8, TD-SCDMA B34/B39
4G: FDD-LTE B1/B3/B5/B8, TDD-LTE B38/B39/B40/B41

  • GSM frequencies
    850 900 1800 1900

  • Standard UMTS
    850 900 1700 1900 2100

  • Standard LTE

  • Standard CDMA
    850 1900 2000 1X

If it works on public it'll work on Koodo/Telus as they are all the same company. You're looking for 850/1900mhz for 3g/voice and band 4, 7/38 for lte and LTE-A, respectively. For future reference you can use willmyphonework.net to see if just about any phone will work with just about any carrier in the world

Your phone is working fine for Call/Text and 3G data. It properly worked on Public Mobile in that mode.

It didn't have the LTE B4/7/2 (main LTE bands of Koodo/Telus). However, It had LTE B5, which allows very limited access to Koodo LTE network.

eh, wait, from this website https://www.kimovil.com/en/where-to-buy-360-n5s, the listed bands were different from your post. It had LTE band4 according to that link (and hence worked fine on Koodo LTE network).

@Goran: there are many plans in PM having access to 3G only.
Also, the link I posted was a website selling phone in EU.

@Dinh FYI Public Mobile's "3G" plans are actually just throttled LTE plans.  They are delivered over the same LTE with fallback to HSPA+, but are throttled to 3Mbps download and 3Mbps upload.

@Ray like @Goran said, if it worked on PM, it will work on Koodo

@srlawren: according to this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Telus_Mobility
HSPA+ from Telus/Koodo/PM was running off 3G network B2(950) &5 (1900). They are not using LTE bands. It is not a throttling issue.

Anyway, I am not sure where this discussion lead to, when the OP is missing and he/she need to check the actual information of the phone. From what the OP posted. the phone didn't have relevant LTE bands. (However, I found the link of the phone which was selling in EU that had the koodo/telus bands). The OP needs to confirm the model.
