putting phone on vacation

l'm currently on the Koodo Student plan and l will be travelling for about a month very soon. l wanted to ask if l can put my phone on vacation for the period l won't be using my phone.

lf l can,what am l supposed to do and are there any costs charged for this.

You can if you'll be out of the country for a month or more, you will be charged $10 a month for the time gone. It's a seasonal hold and can only be done for a maximum of 6 months. You can call customer service to have them place your account on a seasonal hold.

If you will be leaving Canada, you can put the account on seasonal hold @ $10/month for 1-6 months. If your plan is no longer available, you will need to choose one of the currently available plans when you resume service. If you're still interested in switching, you will need to call customer service, as only they can place an account on seasonal hold (no charge for this). You can resume service by simply switching to a new plan through self serve.

I don't know the "Student" plan, but given the recent price hike I wouldn't touch a decent existing plan. Just pay that one month and deactivate add-ons - if they are still offered.

Otherwise, you'll pay $10 plus tax for the one month, and then you will have to pick one of the new price plans afterwards.

Now, I do expect some "back to the school" promotions in fall, but I have not idea what they will look like and how they will compare to your plan.
