Why is it that I haven't logged into my Koodo Community account in a few days and some of my hard earned badges have disappeared?

I just checked out your badges & points & I don't think you've lost any badges, they are both very comparable to each other. I haven't lost any badges either or any of the top ppl. Incase your is showing different you have 17 badges.

Last time I checked, points/badges are verified and can be taken away if they weren't actually deserved. No offence Andrew, you may have had some good posts but I've seen at least a few from you that could warrant that. Just looking at it from an outside perspective.

What is the significance of these badges? I spent some time here yesterday and I saw them pop up all over the place... it even gave me a brain at one point... talk about undeserved praise, *giggle* ^.^

It's just a fun game to play trying to get all the badges, doesn't really mean anything although you do get points for acquiring badges as well as other things. I guess it also shows that your giving an all around experience on here not just asking a bunch of questions or only doing other things only like that.

Thanks :) Well I never really understood the need to be competitive (other than personal goals) so I just wondered... I guess it's a fun way to keep the younger ones involved (oh wait, did I just give my age away?) :D

I'm going to sound like a dick here, but honestly? who cares? they are pixelated drawings. They are simply achievements, nothing more. As long as you're putting forth the effort, then that's all that matters. If you're aiming for becoming a mobile master, they don't really take badges into account. They look at time, effort and consistency as their main priorities.

As well as other things like attitude & friendliness, correct answers, staying on subject, so basically if you are being helpful to the community or a pain in the butt to everyone lol. Marcus has the jist of it though & like he said points don't really matter but in a way they kind of do I guess because they look at the top ppl because they are obviously the most active but at the same time you can have the most points & they know that your answers were not helpful & you caused more grief in the community then anything then you will get passed by I'm sure. It's fun to get a friend going on here and have a friendly competition to see who can come out on top

I would suggest that most people could care less about the badges/points/rewards/titles. This is just a message board, it serves it's purpose. Trying to turn it into this glorified community with different levels and rankings is a little childish imo, and I really think it's only a small percentage of users that genuinely care about how they're "scoring" and what "rank" they've obtained.

Just last week I commended telus for having excellent lte speeds, so I'm not always negative. But yeah, I'm not a fan of the points system and certain other things, so occasionally ill voice that. This is the koodo community forum after all, I can't think of a more appropriate place...
