I signed up for the Koodo offer to port from the Public Mobile $120 per 3 months plan due to the price increase, before Public Mobile cancelled it.

I want to make sure I can delay activation until the end of my prepaid cycle on Public Mobile so I don't waste my credit.  Can you confirm that if I don't activate my SIM (once I receive it), billing won't start (until I activate it)?  I have registered for a Koodo account with the temporary phone number I received (before I port my current number I have with Public Mobile), but I haven't received my SIM yet so I haven't activated it.

hi newbie71,
I don't think you could delay the activation with Koodo to wait for Public mobile credit to expire.

Regarding the public mobile credit:  you could try to talk to the agents at store, and ask them and see if they could give you some credit when you move to Koodo. Btw, did they also promise you $100 credit in the text?

@newbie71: So you are still with PublicMobile. I believe the price increase has been mooted by them. So your plan is safe there.

If you received that text, then $100 credit will be applied to either your first or second bill, when you move to Koodo. I think the message was pretty straightforward. If you move, you will receive a full credit of $100.

That text didn't promise you any credit that you have gotten with PM.

Again, because of the first text, I signed up for the Koodo deal. So I’ve paid for the SIM, and I believe the first month. The question is, can I cancel and get my money back? Simple question, but apparently very difficult to get an answer.

@newbie71: If you cancel, you would have to follow the cancellation terms in the contract documents. I didn't see your contract, I cannot confirm what  you can get back.

You would have to contact Koodo directly to confirm (either through calling or sending message to their facebook/twitter).
