Promo tab

I have the $40/6gb promo from switching from PM. I was wondering if we will always beable to get tab with the promo or will they remove tab in the future for the promo to try and get people to switch to the regular plans.

If you are able to get a tab now, I doubt they would ever turn it into a BYOD plan. I think you will always be able to get a tab with that plan.

They could radically change their business model tomorrow if they really wanted but Koodo is very likely to stick with the tab system. The only way I envision you not being able to get a tab medium again In 24 months is if they enforce 45 dollar minimum spend plans for tab medium at that point. But you'd still have tab small to use if that's what ends up happening.

Goran, a little off subject.

But when checking out the Public Mobile $40/4.5G plan, I saw that they  are to be merged into Koodo in Sept/Oct this year.

The article also stated that existing plans will be respected until Sept/Oct 2020. I guess Koodo will do the same, no? At least until the merger has settled in.
But think I can find the article I where I saw this? Not.
You are probably in a better position to  confirm the details.

Nope! Loblaw's 'PC Mobile Shop' is transferring clients to Koodo. Public Mobile is staying as is.

@J Desamarez that's PC Mobile, not Public Mobile.  They are different.  Public Mobile is here to stay.

I see they have a promo ending today for $45. which includes 2 gig of data. I just bought a phone not long ago and I'm wondering if I can get that extra gig of data because I only have 1 gig with my plan now.

I would think so, you could do that in your selfserve. That plan is available to existing customers.
